The year 2020 has been anything but normal. The golf world was shaken to the core because of the COVID-19 situation. I am sure we are far from over from that situation, but golf has seen somewhat of a boom in recent months as the outdoor activity is becoming preferred due to the nature of the game. It is very difficult to get inside that social distancing area when I have a 6 iron in hand.
We finished our first Junior Golf Camp at the Foundation Learning Center this week and we had several golfers that are excited to continue the game. Part of learning the game is to learn what golf is all about. The kids learned the 9 core values that are taught to every First Tee program across America:
Honesty
Integrity
Sportsmanship
Respect
Confidence
Responsibility
Perseverance
Courtesy
Judgment
These values are excellent for our young golfers to learn in the game of golf, but they can also take these values and make each one of us a better person. I had kids that had little interest in golf become hooked on this great game. We also had accomplished golfers that learned little tricks to help them score better.
If you or your child needs help with their golf game, come check out what is happening at the Foundation Golf Center.
